What to Expect

Welcome to Sun Coast Baptist Church! We’re so glad you have taken the time to learn more about our ministry, and we invite you to browse through our website to get to know us better.

We would love for you to join us for a service as we worship God and study His Word together. Below we’ve listed some questions you may have about our services along with answers we hope you will find helpful.

Do you provide childcare during services?
Yes, we have childcare available during all of our services. For the safety of our children, we conduct background checks for all of our childcare workers.
What time does church start on Sunday?

Our morning service begins at 9:45 a.m. At 11:00, we have Sunday School classes for all ages.

What should I expect in a typical service?
When you walk in the doors, you will receive a warm welcome from our members and staff. During our services, we worship God through singing, Scripture reading, preaching, and giving. We are committed to an expository preaching approach, which means that our pastors teach truth from the Bible and draw out applications based on those truths.
What children’s programs do you offer?

In addition to our nursery facilities, we also offer the following ministries for children:

  • On Sundays: On Sundays we offer Primary Church for children ages 3 – K5 and Junior Church for children in 1st – 5th grade. We also have teen Sunday School classes during our Sunday School hour at 11:00 a.m.
  • On Wednesdays: On Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m., we have a program called AWANA for children ages 3 – 6th grade.  Our teenagers also meet at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays for a teen service.
What do you have for adults?

We have a number of adult Sunday School classes that meet at 11AM every Sunday. We also have Tuesday morning Bible Studies for men and women at 8:30AM. Wednesday Night Adult Bible Study starts at 6:30PM and is a great place for parents to spend some time in Bible study while your kids are in the children’s or teen’s ministries.

What Bible version should I bring?

Please feel free to bring whatever version you normally use for personal study. Our Pastor preaches using the ESV.

If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to call us at (727) 849-0345.

We hope you will join us this Sunday!
